Testimonials for Casa Nita - St Quacco & Zimmerman

We have just arrived and the house is great!  The views are beautiful, I love the deck!  I thought it was very funny that when we pulled up the house has a “goat gate” (as I call it)  I personally have never been here, my parents have, so I was surprised to see lots of feral animals.

P.S. – the best lunch place is Pickles in Paradise.  The best dinner place is Indigo Grill.

For our family, this is our 4th or 5th trip to the Island and our first with the wonderful Casa Nita. Our trip started with Mom coming down for our first week get away and Dad coming down with the boys on week two. Power outages hit us hard the first several nights but the boys loved the adventure and a snorkeling, rock scrambling, ruins exploring time was had by all.

Tips for others!

Snorkeling: Watermelon Caye for calm water, Rays and Sea turtles Maho bay for secluded perfection and views. Eat at Miss Lucy’s, it’s awesome.

Lots of nature at your doorstep! We truly loved the ‘Coral Bay Vibe” surf, sun, and low tide feeling.. Hope to be back and possibly stay as a return guest at Casa Nita the house with a view!!!Love the open screen bathrooms! They are the best. Thank you, and the Windspree staff!

We had a wonderful time on St. John. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! The Casa Nita suited our family perfectly. My husband, I, our three boys, and my Mom all enjoyed the accommodations. Plenty of room for all of us. By the end of the week we were calling it home. We explored many of the beautiful beaches but found Cinnamon to be our favorite! Lameshure was a goodie too but an interesting drive in. the food was great on the Island, everywhere we ate was delicious. We really liked Pickles for breakfast and Shipwreck and Aqua bistro for dinner. Really not a bad restaurant on the Island. We’ve certainly found a slice of Paradise here on St. John and hope to return again soon. Thank you!

We love Casa Nita. The view is incredible, the house is great, and the location is perfect. We have stayed at this house for ten years in a row, and will probably be back for ten more years. The size and space was perfect our cross family group of six people.

Our family loved staying at Casa Nita this week! I fell in love with this house and lovely view. I told my husband, Kurt that I want to come back and stay here next year. Our group consisted of: Me, Patti Husband Kurt, Sons Drew, Dan, Matt, Joe and daughter Claire. There was plenty of space (and Bathroom) We enjoyed all the different beaches, especially Cinnamon and Trunk. Also, there were some favorite hikes-Ram’s Head- with great views and an unusual hike from the south beach up through the old sugar mill and other ruins towards the Petroglyphs in the National Park. The food choices were great, lots of healthy choices and fun food too.

I felt challenged and elated by all the natural rugged beauty and the calm atmosphere everywhere we went.

I really want to come back, which is a big statement since I am a homebody and reluctant traveler. Kurt has the itchy foot and loves to go. But he won’t have any complaints from me about travelling to St. John!

P.S. I loved this house!

Our family tradition is to travel on a family adventure each Christmas. It is also a time were we celebrate my birthday, my daughters and my husband’s birthdays! December is a rockin’ month for all of us. St. John has been our chosen destination for the past 5 years. This is the first time we have stayed in the Coral Bay area!! For lodging; Casa Nita has been very unique in many ways, in an “off the beaten path” kinda way. We get woken up every morning by roosters, music to my ears! Cock a doodle doo! We have closed the metal donkey and goat gate, but have not had one visitation from any such beasts (sad face) Love the beautiful views and hearing the ocean surf nightly!! Very close to Salt Pond and Rams Head! We have seen rainbow’s daily- Cows, donkeys, goats, chickens, roosters, dogs, turtles, fish of all sorts, spiders and Chameleon’s (Lizards).

We love staying Casa Nita. We have stayed at a number of places on St. John over the past 12 years, and have now settled on Casa Nita as our favorite. This year we will be coming back again for our fifth stay in a row.
This incredible house has ample room for six adults, and there is even room to squeeze in a few more.
The view from the huge deck is one of the best on the island, and it is incredibly close to all of the best beaches on St. John.
To top it off, the wonderful staff at Wind Spree always goes out of their way to make sure that our visit to this perfect island is always flawless.
This is a vacation choice that is sure to be awesome.

Thank you for letting us stay in this fantastic house! This was our first of we hope, many trips to St. John. We love it all! This view is worth the trip alone. And your Caribbean shell motif is great. You garden too, is lovely. We met 2 of your sons who were very gracious.
Hope to be here again soon!

Had a wonderful time! Enjoyed the view from your porch. Snorkeling at Waterlemon was fantastic, as always. Saw one of the largest barracudas I’ve ever seen, as well as a ray and a small nurse shark. For swimming we enjoyed Little Lameshur, Hawksnest, Cinnamon and Francis. Had a great diving trip with Low Key, and a not-so-successful trip with St John Dive Adventures when the boat broke down in Coral Bay on our way out.
Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Had a wonderful Christmas Vacation here with the extended family.  The best present to each of us were the special memories made here. Thank you.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We had a great time viewing the local animals-goats, chickens and donkeys. We went on a sail that was the highlight of the trip. We went to Newfound Bay and snorkeled; saw turtles and a barracuda.
Thanks again,

What a wonderful week of vacation! This house is beautiful and very relaxing.  The view from the deck is amazing.  We were very lucky to have beautiful weather and the snorkeling trip that we took was incredible.  It is easy to understand why people don’t want to go home after being here J  We had such a great time this week-thank you for opening your house to us.
Best Wishes Always,

Wonderful vacation.  Not necessary to nuke the rooster but how about tranquilizing the dogs!  The view and sound of the ocean were most enjoyable.  The children enjoyed the donkeys and goats.  Thought we might have to take the wee white goat home with us

Our time here was like something out of a dream…relaxation in paradise is a phenomenon in our time.  The house was the pinnacle of  perfect touches on an island that hardly needs them! Thank you, thank you-keep sharing this wonderful gift!

Spectacular…the only word that can possibly come close to describing our 7 days here…the water, the fish, the goats, the rooster that has nothing on the two dueling dogs! I loved my time here…I can’t wait to come back.

Well if words exist to describe this place, they elude me.  Unequalled are the vistas, incomparable the total combination of smells and skin-felt sensations, incalculable the number of irreplaceable moments.  Bon voyage all you sea creatures and hummingbirds and warm breezes!

We had a delightful visit made perfect by having your idyllic home to stay in. Thank you for sharing it with us. We had mostly sunshine punctuated by a mild storm and loved every minute of it. Lucy’s, Skinny’s and All You Can Eat Shrimp Night at the Lime Inn were highlights. Thanks for letting us enjoy St. John in such style!

Thank you for a truly wonderful holiday. The house is perfect. We shall remember the marvelous view from the deck and the sun rising over the sea. We go home maybe a little heavier, but feeling younger. Snorkeling is great- a whole new world to experience. We went out for the day on “Breath” with Peter and Dorothy Muilenburg and had a truly wonderful day. One suggestion: a list of churches and service times would be helpful.
Many thanks again,

We had a perfect vacation and agree that Casa Nita is a comfortable, wonderfully furnished and equipped, special home.  Our first time staying on this side of the island and we loved it.
