  1. The cottage, the view and surrounding tropical forest are just amazing. The cottage had everything you need for a short or extended stay. Although it is not large, it is well designed, providing all kinds of places for storage of clothes, groceries, and everything else we brought with us. It is the perfect amount of space for a couple. We also really enjoyed the outdoor shower. The furnishings in the kitchen, along with the grill on the deck, provided us with everything we needed to prepare some memorable meals. It is so relaxing to sit out on the deck, sipping your morning coffee, enjoying the view across the tropical forest all the way down to the ocean, feeding and watching the birds, and just doing nothing! The location is perfect to get to both ends of the island, and everything in between, to do some great snorkeling, hiking, and exploring plantation ruins. The towns of Cruz Bay and Coral Bay both offer great restaurants and shopping. Both also have grocery stores that met our needs. Last, but not least, Monika was a wonderful host. She met us and we followed her to the cottage. A few turns off the main highway and we arrived. She showed us everything we needed to know about the cottage, answered all of our questions, and shared great information on the area. If you are looking for a private, non-resort vacation, this would be hard to beat. We have a lot of great memories from our time at the Sea Cottage. Our only regret is that we didn’t plan to stay a little longer. Thank you Monika and Jorge for sharing your cottage with us and we hope to be back again in the near future.

  2. Celebrating our Anniversary at the Sea Cottage was one of our best vacations ever! As soon as you step into the Sea Cottage you can feel the tranquil and peaceful surroundings take you in and put your mind and body automatically into island time. The craftsmanship, attention to detail and decorating with local artist pieces shows the care and thought in building the Cottage. It is centrally located which makes it very convenient to get to any part of the Island. Monica and Jorge were the perfect hosts; from meeting you on the island, making you feel welcome in their home and answering any questions you may have to what St. John has to offer. Eating outside on the patio and taking in the relaxing views was such a great way to enjoy your meals. The views are something that you see in tourist guides of the Island. It was fun feeding the Sugar Birds and watching them while we sat outside. Staying at this Cottage was such a great way to reconnect and relax with your significant other. Monica & Jorge, Thank you again for your generous hospitality and sharing your piece of paradise with us. We very much look forward to returning to the Sea Cottage and seeing you again soon! 3. We were so pleased with our choice of the Sea Cottage in the Bordeaux Mountain section of St. John. Here for our honeymoon, it was the perfect romantic hide-away. The view from the patio where we shared breakfast each morning was nothing short of truly spectacular. Quiet and peaceful, perfect location to hit the restaurants in Coral Bay along with all the beaches on the North Shore. We highly, highly recommend you look at the Sea Cottage when making your plans to stay on St. John.

  4. If you are looking for peace and quiet and escaping the craziness of the world.. this is your place. Sea cottage is a perfect getaway for two. The wrap around porch is gorgeous and has the most romantic surreal setting. The outdoor shower was amazing and the views off the porch are breath taking. Monika and Jorge are the most genuine people who truly were the fantastic hosts. This is a non-tourist spot where you can escape the real world and enjoy peaceful heaven. The sound of tree frogs put us swiftly to sleep and the beautiful sunrise awoke us. Needless to say we will be back for sure!

Welcome to Sea Cottage, located on Bordeaux Mountain overlooking Coral Bay, on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Sea Cottage is reached by way of the paved and level Bordeaux Mountain Road, which winds through the lush and fragrant bay rum forest. A short path down to the cottage, where you'll find your private getaway with breathtaking views of Coral Bay and the British Virgin Islands.

Sea Cottage is a 1 Bedroom and 1 Bathroom property that sleeps 2 and is just a 10 minute drive to the world famous North Shore beaches, less than 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants of beautiful Coral Bay and the Cruz Bay ferry dock.

A spacious wrap around deck delivers a million-dollar view. Perched high above the Carolina Valley in the heart of the Bordeaux forest, Sea Cottage is a charming and romantic cottage overlooking the turquoise Caribbean waters of the Sir Francis Drake channel - a private paradise.

For those who wish to enjoy St. John on foot, the Bordeaux Mountain trailhead in the Virgin Islands National Park is only a short hike away, leading to beautiful Lameshur Bay on the south side of the island as well as other trails in the park.

Created for your enjoyment, for your intimate vacation, Sea Cottage is a private paradise.

Caribbean flora and fauna surround you at Sea Cottage.

Sea Cottage's private getaway is accessed by means of a comfortable descent through a tropical garden.

A comfortable queen-sized bed with fresh, bright linens.

Bordeaux Mountain's fresh cool air, St. John's tradewinds, and an overhead ceiling fan keeps Sea Cottage cool and temperate year-round -- no need for air conditioning!

Off the bedroom, a contemporary bathroom with a vessel sink leads to the garden shower.

A garden shower, naturally!

Coral Bay has a vibrant artist community at its core

Sea Cottage is decorated with local art, like this mixed media piece by Dennis Hart. The hammock is a great place to get lost in a new book from our bookshelf.

Sea Cottage is a newly built studio featuring an open floor plan with airy, vaulted ceilings, and a kitchen to please the most discriminating cook. Dine casually at the contemporary kitchen island or set a table al fresco, looking miles out to sea.

Sea Cottage has a DVD player and accompanying library, for curling up with a great film. Enjoy state of the art sound dock to plug in your MP3 player, or ours.

No computer or TV adds to the "unplugged" atmosphere at Sea Cottage. For those of you who prefer to stay plugged in, your smart phone or your laptop wifi can pick up a nearby cellular tower signal to keep you connected.

Enjoy all nature has to offer right from the comfort of Sea Cottage.

Start your day and end your evening on the inviting wrap around deck.

Imagine admiring a moonrise or a sunrise, over Sir Frances Drake with the British Virgin Islands in the distance, with the one you love.

Sea Cottage is a non-smoking villa.
