  1. St John and Villa Madeline are fantastic! Here are some of the favorite things that we did while here: 1) Ram Head trail – WOW!! Do not miss this hike! 2) Yawzi Point trail – Another great one…..Take a 4WD Jeep…. 3)Shipwreck restaurant down the street 4) Best of Both Worlds art and design gallery in Mongoose Junction 5) Ferry ride to Tortola (BVI). Things that could be a ͞problem͟ (if that’s possible on this island): 1) Skinny Legs wait for food…..it took us 1.25 hours to get ours…..it was good, but…. 2)
Goats around every bend in the road 3) Road hogs around every bend….stay on your side of the lane! 4) DVD player…..if the tray won’t open, tap the bottom of the player 5) Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to all ferry departures and hope and pray for a close parking spot.

  3. Villa Madeline is great. We will totally stay here again. Loved the hot tub and blender. Here is a great day for you: Sunday brunch at Café Concordia, then find a good spot at Salt Pond. Hike Rams Head, snorkel and swim at Salt Pond, hike to Drunk Bay and make a coral statue (you’ll see). BBQ dinner and have ginger beer at Cases. Don’t forget a ͞Tart n’ Tasty͟ smoothie at Columbo’s! The best on island! A day at Caneel Bay resort is also totally worth it. Bring your own chairs. The beach is beautiful, great bathrooms, gift shop and bar/restaurant. Walk to Solomon and Honeymoon beaches from there. Good snorkelling at all beaches. You need to bring your own snorkel gear.

  4. We spent a great week here! The snorkelling is amazing (especially Maho – with a pod of turtles in residence and a spotted eagle ray, giant starfish and so much else) . Madeline is lovely. We weren’t thrilled with the pool filter and the spa was a bit neglected too. Other than that, our stay here has been fabulous.

Villa Madeline is a lovely 2 bedroom masonry home with abundant Caribbean charm, wonderful views, a pool and hot tub and luxurious appointments throughout.

Villa Madeline is a petite high-end villa, with elegant furnishings and thoughtful design, such as built-in desk space in each bedroom, a chef's kitchen and amenities such as internet access and cable television. It is a very comfortable and convenient villa, just perfect for one or two couples or a family of four. Villa Madeline is fully air conditioned.

The kitchen is located in the great room, to the left of the entryway, and opens into the comfortable living space. It is fully equipped with all that you need to prepare a wonderful meal, including elegant dinnerware.  There is a breakfast bar, to eat indoors or enjoy conversation while cooking.  We imagine you'll want to dine al fresco on the covered deck and enjoy the night air and the stars...

The two bedrooms are equally generous, with private baths, ceiling fans, air conditioning, and luxurious linens.

The stately bedrooms are elegantly furnished and extremely comfortable, with all of the luxuries of a fine hotel--and much more privacy.

The pool, spa and deck are a private vacationland for this very special Caribbean cottage.

The lovely green hills of the V.I. National Park are a spectacular contrast to the blue sparkling water.  A blessed location.

The property is graced with tropical trees and floral fauna, in an extremely private and pristine location.

Enjoy the view of Coral Bay from the covered upper deck

The shady deck is an idyllic retreat from the sun and a perfect place to find the peace of your vacation, with a cocktail in hand, or a good book, or in the company of someone very special.

The pool deck overlooks St. John's East End and the Coral Bay harbor.  It has a wonderful wet bar and a hot tub.  An ideal location for late-night swims under a blanket of stars.

Villa Madeline is ideally located, along a paved road and driveway, in a very quiet neighborhood, with the best of St. John's beaches and hiking trails a short drive away.  It is a very short drive down the hill to Skinny Legs, the famous burger and salty sailor landing that is the social center of Coral Bay.  This quiet a charming hamlet has much to recommend it, including many waterfront good and affordable restaurants, eclectic shops, friendly locals, and the peaceful charm reminiscent of the "way St. John used to be".

Villa Madeline is a non-smoking villa.

Villa Madeline is a 2 bedroom custom built home on St John Island with mahogany features and meticulous stonework, created with comfort and luxury in mind. Perfect for one or two couples, it offers quiet without solitude, and intimacy without losing the amenities of convenient modern living.   It will be your choice whether to use the central AC or to open wide the glass doors to enjoy the gentle Caribbean breezes. The covered, wrap around deck is great for casual dining and relaxing out of the sun. The sleeping accommodations are quietly situated on the lower level and consist of two bedrooms each with large comfy beds, central air, private baths and shared deck with panoramic views, stretching from St. John's harbor of Coral Bay around to the East End and the famous Hurricane Hole.
