St. John Rib Cook Off

Congratulations All Entrants!

The annual St. John Rib Cook Off benefits the much appreciated St. John Rescue squad, an all-volunteer unit that looks after the community from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay and everything inbetween.

If you like ribs, clearly Coral Bay has the best! Hundreds flocked to the Coral Bay ball field across from the Moravian Church on November 14, 2015 for the popular 3rd annual St. John Rib Cook Off, supporting the island’s all-volunteer rescue squad, St. John Rescue.

Discriminating judges tasted a total of 10 entries and awarded Coral Bay’s very own Aqua Bistro (st) and Indigo Grill (2nd) the highest marks.  Last year Aqua Bistro came in 3rd, while Skinny Legs won the coveted 2014 title. The first year, which was held behind Mongoose Junction in Cruz Bay, Coral Bay’s Larry from the Tourist Trap won the blue ribbon from more than a dozen others. Seems Coral Bay really knows their ribs.

All proceeds from the event benefitted St. John Rescue, for which we are all grateful.  THANK YOU, ST. JOHN RESCUE VOLUNTEERS! Read more about the event and St. John Rescue on their Facebook page.
