  1. Banana Cabana was one of our first rentals on the market many moons ago & was so nice to be back. (you’re usually booked up!)
Our friends said this was best villa yet. We LOVED the new kitchen but didn’t eat out as much due to it :(. Rhumb Lines is a must visit. The happy hour is fantastic, be there at 5, & great tapas. Went to all our favorite snorkels, it’s amazing how much the island has recovered yet sad to see the devastation to the corals. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

  2. We loved staying at Banana Cabana. We enjoyed being entertained by the sounds of the birds, seeing the frogs, geckos, donkeys, goats, etc. We were here for a family wedding. The ceremony was held at 4:30pm at Hawksnest and it was beautiful! Then we had the reception at Aqua Bistro. The food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. We had about 35 people here from all over the mainland and everyone totally enjoyed the visit. Mostly remembered by everyone, was how very friendly the islanders are, and so very helpful. We enjoyed Hawksnest Bay, Trunk Bay, and even a short, quiet visit to Haulover Bay. Besides Aqua Bistro, we dined at Longboard in Cruz Bay and loved them both. We mostly made our own meals besides that and found the grocery shopping at Starfish and Dolphin Market in Cruz Bay are less expensive and have a much better selection than the 2 markets in Coral Bay. We had to go to St Thomas to the Schneider Regional Medical Center 3 times for kidney dialysis for one member of the family and found the ferry system , taxis, and everyone at the hospital to be very kind, friendly, efficient, and wonderful.
We loved St John and hope to return sometime in the not too distant future.
Thanks for sharing your lovely Banana Cabana with us!

  3. We had an amazing time here. Post Irmaria there was lots to do. 1) Maho never is a doubt to see turtles. 2) Kiddle Bay there is a road you think you shouldn’t be on. It leads to an amazing rocky bay with the most colorful coral there is. Little Lameshur is a must go to. Francis is awesome. Food was great at Skinny Legs. Miss Lucy’s and Indigo Grill are a must go to. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We are not happy to go back to Cold Cincinnati. Thank you.

  4. Kristen and Steve, Thank you for a wonderful stay! The recommendation to visit Trunk Bay after 4pm was right on – we had the #1 gorgeous beach in the world pretty much to ourselves. Post – hurricanes both Trunk and Cinnamon Bay facilities(rest rooms, bar, chair rental, snack bar) still closed so be sure to pack your own cooler. Thankful for the beach towels, chairs, and cooler already @ Banana Cabana. Highly recommend Mark Whitefoot – lead guide (request him!) for the 5 hour Virgin Islands Ecotours 340-779-2155. The tour included beautiful kayaking, 2 snorkel stops, swimming w/turtles and use of the chairs / bar / water toys (paddleboards, etc.) at Honeymoon Bay. Bring sneakers for the hike post and a backpack. There is a nice outdoor shower @ Honeymoon Bay to rinse off to stay out in that direction for dinner. Nice neighbors let me park across the street so I didn’t have to make the sharp driveway turn at night. Thanks!

Banana Cabana is a delightful island home of Caribbean style design, with two separate pods, nestled on a hill overlooking the emerald green and aqua blue waters of Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole. Within easy driving distance to St. John's most beautiful beaches and hiking trails, Banana Cabana is a private, peaceful vacation hideaway and a perfect love nest.

Coral Bay and the East End of St. John offer the true experience of secluded island life. This part of the island, where Banana Cabana is located, has maintained an unhurried, uncrowded, simple and friendly way of life that has long since disappeared in other parts of the Virgin Islands.

The beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters of the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park combined with the comfort and privacy of Banana Cabana gives you the ideal Caribbean vacation experience.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a gas oven range, refrigerator-freezer, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, microwave, and a complete assortment of kitchenware. There is also an outdoor gas grill for tasty barbecuing.

The spacious great room has comfortable rattan furniture, including a sleeper sofa, a desk and a dining table that seats six people. The great room also features unique island artwork.

Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, a ceiling fan, an outdoor shower and a sliding-glass door that opens onto a private deck with a lovely view of the bay. All bed and bath linens are provided.

Banana Cabana has two separate pods, or separate buildings, each with a bedroom and bath. This type of house design ensures complete privacy, beautiful views and maximum exposure to the easterly trade winds from either pod.

For entertainment, there is a TV/DVD with video library, a stereo with assorted CDs, a selection of games, and there are shelves of books.

The lovely view of the harbor, surrounded by green hillside, is totally peaceful.
