  1. Good day! We found this little gem online through Windspree! It fit our family of four perfectly. We have enjoyed the views and the cooling tradewinds, braying donkeys and rooster alarm clock. We are a nature loving fam so loved the snorkeling ( Maho, trunk, Francis, cinnamon and Leinster) and ruins (reef bay trail, cinnamon). Skinny legs and Aqua Bistro (ask for Kent) are amazing! The visitors center in Cruz Bay is great. All in all one wonderfully Relaxing vacation!!! So on our last snorkel on Francis bay I saw a cute sea worm and thought it funny to scare my mom with it. Picking it up it let out little bristles into my left hand. On the way to shore and four hours later my fingertips thrived and stung! Do not touch the bristle worms!

  2. Happy Easter and Passover!
We had a great time on our 1st, 2nd, 9th and 12th trip! my family came down here every other year when I was growing up so this was th 12th time for my mother, 9th for me and then my husband and older son and a 1st for my youngest son!
This place is magical and draws us here frequently to keep exploring!
Great house for 5! Enjoy your stay!

  3. Banana Cabana was a nice spot for our family for spring break. My sister and my two kids were in the lower level so the extra mattress was great down there. The main living space and updated kitchen were very open and functional and we enjoyed all of our breakfasts and some of our dinners at the house and used the outdoor grill alot. The location was really quiet and relaxing and we all enjoyed the outdoor showers. We have been coming to St. John since 2002 and it is our favorite destination. We frequent Skinny Legs but also love Aqua Bistro for their ponzu tuna night and had a great dinner at Rhumb Lines this visit as well.
Thanks again for your help with Banana Cabana. We will definitely reach out to Windspree in the future for our vacation rentals!

  4. Banana Cabana was one of our first rentals on the market many moons ago & was so nice to be back. (you’re usually booked up!)
Our friends said this was best villa yet. We LOVED the new kitchen but didn’t eat out as much due to it :(. Rhumb Lines is a must visit. The happy hour is fantastic, be there at 5, & great tapas. Went to all our favorite snorkels, it’s amazing how much the island has recovered yet sad to see the devastation to the corals. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

Banana Cabana is a delightful island home of Caribbean style design, with two separate pods, nestled on a hill overlooking the emerald green and aqua blue waters of Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole. Within easy driving distance to St. John's most beautiful beaches and hiking trails, Banana Cabana is a private, peaceful vacation hideaway and a perfect love nest.

Coral Bay and the East End of St. John offer the true experience of secluded island life. This part of the island, where Banana Cabana is located, has maintained an unhurried, uncrowded, simple and friendly way of life that has long since disappeared in other parts of the Virgin Islands.

The beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters of the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park combined with the comfort and privacy of Banana Cabana gives you the ideal Caribbean vacation experience.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a gas oven range, refrigerator-freezer, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, microwave, and a complete assortment of kitchenware. There is also an outdoor gas grill for tasty barbecuing.

The spacious great room has comfortable rattan furniture, including a sleeper sofa, a desk and a dining table that seats six people. The great room also features unique island artwork.

Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, a ceiling fan, an outdoor shower and a sliding-glass door that opens onto a private deck with a lovely view of the bay. All bed and bath linens are provided.

Banana Cabana has two separate pods, or separate buildings, each with a bedroom and bath. This type of house design ensures complete privacy, beautiful views and maximum exposure to the easterly trade winds from either pod.

For entertainment, there is a TV/DVD with video library, a stereo with assorted CDs, a selection of games, and there are shelves of books.

The lovely view of the harbor, surrounded by green hillside, is totally peaceful.

The property is located close to the VI National Park, with its beautiful beaches and hiking trails.
