  1. We enjoyed our time on the island. When we were snorkeling, we saw rays, fish, beautiful coral and turtles. Loved the sun all day. At Maho Bay, we saw many turtles. Lots of mosquitos and ants, so be prepared for all of that! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Banana Cabana.

  2. Great house for two couples. We were very comfortable. Loved the pool access, had it to ourselves 90 % of the time. Loved the island, Coral Bay is so chill. Best meal at Aqua Bistro and Oasis. Doesn’t look like much, but the BEST chicken and I am not a fan of fried chicken! Love city market had everything we needed. Salt Pond Bay was heaven on earth. The reef bay trail gave us a run for our 40+ age. All in All- a very nice place to stay. A good value for your money.

  3. We had a wonderful week here. The longboard in Cruz Bay was the best dinner all week.Loved all the beaches! Brown Bay is worth a visit but be prepared for a hike there, bring flippers if you go to Waterlemon Caye and look out for the sea urchins. Make sure you try the puxxle as you get ready for dinner!!

  4. We loved staying at the Banana Cabana and St John! We went snorkeling quite a bit: At Watermelon Cay, Maho Bay, and a beach off the hiking trail at Ram’s Head we also went hiking on the Ram’s Head Trail; it was about a mile, but the view was BEAUTIFUL! The beach off of that trail isn’t far from the parking area and is the BEST for turtles because it was not crowded at all (we saw two just in the swimming area and we also saw a giant ray!!) We also saw turtles at Watermelon (which was the best for snorkeling). Maho also has good snorkeling and you can see turtle there too. Skinny Legs was great- it had great burgers and great music! Miss Lucy’s was not so great – when we were there, they only had one waitress and were out of most of the food on the menu, and very expensive. Aqua Bistro had REALLY good food and good live music. For breakfast, try Jake’s in Cruz Bay. The Tap Room (also in Cruz Bay) was awesome for lunch and dinner and has really good beer and burgers. Thank you!!!

Banana Cabana is a delightful island home of Caribbean style design, with two separate pods, nestled on a hill overlooking the emerald green and aqua blue waters of Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole. Within easy driving distance to St. John's most beautiful beaches and hiking trails, Banana Cabana is a private, peaceful vacation hideaway and a perfect love nest.

Coral Bay and the East End of St. John offer the true experience of secluded island life. This part of the island, where Banana Cabana is located, has maintained an unhurried, uncrowded, simple and friendly way of life that has long since disappeared in other parts of the Virgin Islands.

The beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters of the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park combined with the comfort and privacy of Banana Cabana gives you the ideal Caribbean vacation experience.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a gas oven range, refrigerator-freezer, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, microwave, and a complete assortment of kitchenware. There is also an outdoor gas grill for tasty barbecuing.

The spacious great room has comfortable rattan furniture, including a sleeper sofa, a desk and a dining table that seats six people. The great room also features unique island artwork.

Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, a ceiling fan, an outdoor shower and a sliding-glass door that opens onto a private deck with a lovely view of the bay. All bed and bath linens are provided.

Not far from the villa, the shared pool has a covered deck area with counter space to prepare food or drinks. The covered portion of the pool deck also provides nice shade where you can relax out of the sun.

Banana Cabana has two separate pods, or separate buildings, each with a bedroom and bath. This type of house design ensures complete privacy, beautiful views and maximum exposure to the easterly trade winds from either pod.

For entertainment, there is a TV/DVD with video library, a stereo with assorted CDs, a selection of games, and there are shelves of books.

The lovely view of the harbor, surrounded by green hillside, is totally peaceful.

The property is located close to the VI National Park, with its beautiful beaches and hiking trails.

Banana Cabana is a non-smoking villa.
