Mornin’ Glory sits on a hillside overlooking tranquil Coral Bay and out towards East End. Conveniently located a few paces beyond the center of Coral Bay, Mornin’ Glory guests can easily enjoy restaurants and shops nearby while still enjoying the peace and quiet of a private villa. Enjoy sweeping views of the Caribbean waters and cool breeze from the broad front porch. The same incredible view can be enjoyed from every room in the house, including the master shower. The great room is open with the kitchen set up a few steps above and a bedroom alcove tucked in on the same level. The villa can sleep six guests with a king in the master, a queen in the alcove and a queen in the studio below. The upstairs is perfect for a couple and small children. For two couples or families with older children, we suggest renting the entire home which includes the studio below. Guests sleeping in the alcove will have to share the master bath. Mornin’ Glory is comfortable and affordable with all the conveniences of home like a full kitchen, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and beach accessories. It will be a pleasure returning from a glorious beach day to relax in the open and inviting space that this home offers. The look and feel of Mornin’ Glory is parallel to the styling of quaint Caribbean décor with bright colours and tropical furnishings. Guests will feel that they are getting a unique and authentic St. John experience

  1. We greatly enjoyed staying at Mornin Glory, it is a remarkable villa, in a remarkable area (Coral Bay), on a remarkable island. We are a family of four, two tall teenagers and two tall parents (we paid for the lower studio as well) and there was plenty of space for all. We cook a lot, and we expected the pots and pans and plates, but we didn’t expect so many other useful items (spice, condiments, sugar, coffee). We loved the house, and like a lot of people our favorites were the deck that covers the length of the house and the outside shower; but as we are from Maine the deck was greatly enjoyed later in the day, as the rising sun was too hot for us. It was the small items that made Mornin Glory unique, the stained glass at the top of all east facing walls, and even in the bedroom the furniture was solid wood, no cheap stuff. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

  2. Spent a week at Mornin Glory.
Three amazing things about Mornin Glory.
    1) outdoor shower. Showering outside was incredible. Never ran out of hot water and plenty of pressure.
    2) beautiful deck. Every morning we’d sit on the deck with our coffee, planning on what beaches we were going to visit that day. Spacious enough for yoga and offered plenty of shade which was welcomed.
    3) Sliding doors in the front of the home allowed the easterly winds to cool down the house during the day & while we were sleeping. Each room had a ceiling fan as well. We were very comfortable.
The driveway was steep like everyone was saying but it was manageable with our 4 door Jeep. Easy to back up at the top and turn around.
These little goats would pass by the house every few days which was fun to see & hear.
Finally, no bugs! No no-seums, no mosquitos hunting for us.
Communication with Karen was a breeze. Easy to find, directions were spot on.
Coral Bay was beautiful. Several places to eat. Skinny Legs, 3 x for there grilled mahi sandwich and the outdoor pizza place for a tropical drinks and fresh spun pizza pies.
Homemade meat kabobs & hummus from Calabash grocery down the road were perfect for the grill at the house as well.
One of the highlights was renting a dinghy from Dockside Dinghy’s, exploring Coral Bay by water for the day & tarpon fishing charter with Cpt Dustin, from Arawak Adventures in Cruz Bay. He put us on fish!
Can’t wait to visit St John again next year.

  3. Christian
Morning Glory was incredible! We loved Coral Bay, and were very happy that we ended up on that side of the island. The porch has a jaw-dropping view of the bay, and the outdoor shower with the view of the bay was an obvious highlight. We loved all of the goats which would wander around the house too. Driveway was a bit treacherous, but we survived. St John is super hilly so steep driveways seem to be the norm more often than not. Our one regret is not checking a bag and packing a TON of sunscreen. We went through a $20 bottle each day. We loved St John and would love to come back to Morning Glory. We also highly recommend chartering a boat through Captain Karl. Thank you Karen for making our stay so amazing!

  4. What a fabulous week at Mornin’ Glory! The house is wonderful. We loved the mornings with the sunrise and evenings with the wonderful breeze. We went to many beaches and rented a boat to snorkel in Princess Bay. We loved evenings at the Salty Mongoose. We hope to return very soon and enjoy your wonderful island home.
    Thank you!
