  1. We really liked how easy this was to get to and that it had assigned parking. This rental is right in the middle of Coral Bay, so very close to food, beaches, and hiking on that side of the island. It was quiet there, which we liked. Honestly, we spent most of our time outside but this was a good place to relax at in the evenings! We appreciated the chairs and coolers, plus things left behind by other guests in the bathroom mirror storage.

  2. Where else can you find the most beautiful view? The views were the most stunning part of this house. Nothing will ever compare to this. Everyone on the island is so nice, you really won’t find any unhappy people. Things to do. 1. Grab snorkel gear from the hut located in front of the Dolphin Market. $10 per day or $40 per week. The number is on the board outside the hut. You have to text the lady to meet you to get your gear. After all that head down to Trunk Bay where the snorkelling is outstanding. There are many colorful fish! The other place we snorkelled was Maho Bay. This is where you will find sea turtles, stingrays, sharks (nurse sharks no teeth) and yellow fin snapper. If you are up for a hike, head over to Ram’s Head. It’s a little bit of a walk but the views are stunning and Salt Pond is right there where you can snorkel crystal blue water!!! 2. All the beaches are right in order on the way to Cruz Bay. I will start with the first. First favorite, Maho Bay – Absolutely breath taking. The water is crystal clear and the calmest waters you will find with hardly any waves. Simply park on the side of the road or there is a parking lot near the end of the bay.

  3. Palladio’s View survived hurricane Irma! (and Maria). Although our guest book took a bit of a hit . This is my second trip back to St. John since the storms in September. My dad (Larry), brother, friends and I spent Christmas here in December but we were so busy getting the house back in working shape that we forgot to write in the book. Palladio’s View sustained only minor damages from the hurricanes. We waited on baited breath in New Jersey for almost 2 weeks before hearing from a neighbour that all was ok. It was gut wrenching worrying not only for our home but for all of the wonderful friends we have made here in Coral Bay and on St. John. We feel very fortunate to have had such little damage – it is remarkable to think that 200 mph winds blew through Calabash Boom, and we only lost some shower tile and a few shutters. We believe that our guardian angel (my mom) had a hand in protecting her dream home. Since September, my dad and our good friend have worked tirelessly to prepare PV for guests again. We have a new roof over the dining table, new solar batteries behind the house, a new railing around the hot tub, and soon-to-be new shower tile. We hope you continue to enjoy our home as much as we do for many years to come. I see big changes in the island just since December. The biggest is that there are people here again! It’s wonderful to see the parking lot at Trunk Bay full once again. WAPA power and Broadband have been restored, the clean up efforts continue to amaze, the vegetation has recovered tremendously, and Pickles is open! The resiliency of this tiny island and its people is awe-inspiring. Thank you for sharing your time here at PV! We love reading your stories! – Carolyn Zoerb 3/1/18

  4. Our 8 day stay at PV was utterly amazing. The villa far exceeds our expectations and was such a joy to come home to every night after a long day at the beach. It has been miraculous to see how much the island has already recovered! We cannot wait to return to this mesmerizing place that we love – St. John. After this wonderful week, we very much hope to stay at PV on future visits, as we cant imagine any other place matching its views. Counting the days until we can return! –Tommy and Amanda 4/22/18

The villa Palladio's View sits elegantly on a hillside in Calabash Boom at the Coral Bay end of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, offering spectacular views across Coral Reef National Monument and St. John's East End to the British Virgins (Tortola, Peter and Norman Islands, and Virgin Gorda) and beyond.

The villa is Danish West Indian in concept, yet evokes the style of Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Comfortably able to accommodate up to six persons, Palladio's View is at once private and open to nature's wonders.

The blue roofs, arched windows, and colorful shutters of Palladio's View are an aesthetic delight.

The lower bedrooms, kitchen, and dining area are connected by a tiled screened gallery, which is furnished with comfortable wicker couches.

A few steps lead down to a large spa and then to the pool, from which one can idly observe the passage of wind-filled sails and star-filled skies.

Steps lead from the gallery and covered decks to an open sun deck, which is furnished with chaises, chairs and table for outdoor dining.

Sit back and relax in sun or shade on the deck of Palladio's View.

On yet a lower level you will find the spa deck where one or several can relax in the spacious 7'10" hexagon spa and view the matchless Caribbean night skies.
