  1. Dear Barbara and David,
Back again to your little spot of paradise. As wonderful as ever, plus WiFi! We have enjoyed the hot tub – views of the heavens, and borrowed fireworks on NY Eve. The pool has been refreshing – and the evening meals on the terrace delightful.

The road is better in parts – although the goats do mind sharing after dark. The bumps & grinds never change, however.

Highlights — golf at Mahogany Run (on ST) – swim at Salt Pond, peaceful on a windy day – snorkeling at Waterleman Cay – dinners at Turtle, Waterfront Bistro, brunch at Lucy’s. Thank so very much – from the G’s.

  2. I hope you had a good holiday with your family. We so enjoyed your home in St. John. It was just perfect for us – the layout is perfect for two couples and we enjoyed the solstice full moon while we had dinner on the deck. It had absolutely everything we needed and was a great place to base from. The view is stunning and we enjoyed it thoroughly. What a special place you have! I’m so glad we found Palladio’s View and we’d definitely love to stay again when we return.
Best wishes for a peaceful 2011!

  3. What a wonderful, amazing week! I came here with my parents for their 25th!! At first no A/C, outdoor showers, and the possibility of no cell service was horrible. But it wasn’t so bad at all! (I did have cell service!) Usually, I’m a grumpy teenager but the hot tub parties made me outgoing! Singing Justin Bieber at the top of my lungs was a funny sight for the neighbors!
I loved snorkeling! I saw two stingrays, an octopus, squid and giant tarpon. The water was incredible and a great bonding experience with me and Daddy :). And boy! The ride here was sure something. One bad thing did happen. I got stung by a SCORPION. I started breaking out and made my Dad call the clinic. It’s a joke now that I still had time to text (but hey! I needed to tell my friends I may die!!). Basically, this was a great vacation. [Note: One is very unlikely (and unlucky) to encounter a psuedoscorpion on SJ. I was stung by one once. They’re small, certainly not deadly, not big scorpions like one would see in the Southwest, and the sting responds fairly quickly to antihistimines, but it does hurt for a time. D.G.]

  4. We truly appreciate you sharing you home with us. We have thoroughly enjoyed the “view,” and this beautiful paradise. We honeymooned here …. You truly have a piece of heaven here on St. John and we are already planning our return trip! We are not quite ready to to return to reality or “rightside” driving. Thank you so much.

The villa Palladio's View sits elegantly on a hillside in Calabash Boom at the Coral Bay end of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, offering spectacular views across Coral Reef National Monument and St. John's East End to the British Virgins (Tortola, Peter and Norman Islands, and Virgin Gorda) and beyond.

Palladio's View ( St. John USVI ), which is only a short distance from the glorious beaches of the Virgin Islands National Park, is fully equipped with all of the amenities required for comfortable living: gas range, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, cable TV, DVD, propane grill and more.

The villa is Danish West Indian in concept, yet evokes the style of Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Comfortably able to accommodate up to six persons, Palladio's View is at once private and open to nature's wonders.

The blue roofs, arched windows, and colorful shutters of Palladio's View are an aesthetic delight.

The lower bedrooms, kitchen, and dining area are connected by a tiled screened gallery, which is furnished with comfortable wicker couches.

A few steps lead down to a large spa and then to the pool, from which one can idly observe the passage of wind-filled sails and star-filled skies.

Steps lead from the gallery and covered decks to an open sun deck, which is furnished with chaises, chairs and table for outdoor dining.

Sit back and relax in sun or shade on the deck of Palladio's View.

On yet a lower level you will find the spa deck where one or several can relax in the spacious 7'10" hexagon spa and view the matchless Caribbean night skies.
