Pelican Beach, located in quiet Friis Bay, is one of the few rentals on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands available directlyon the beach. The newly remodeled indoor living space offers a full downstairs living area, including two queen-sized bedrooms, a fully- equipped kitchen with full-sized appliances, a ceramic-tiled bathroom, and laundry facilities. Featuring fabulous outside living spaces with breathtaking views, cool evening breezes, and daily visits from soaring, diving pelicans this two bedroom, one bath suite offers breathtaking views and cool breezes for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The suite faces directly east capturing amazing sunrises and views of nearby U.S. and British Virgin Islands. (Rental is in the lower level and the owners live in the upper level.)
Enjoy the one-minute walk to a semi-private sandy neighborhood beach. In addition to the world-famous North Shore beaches of St. John, Salt Pond Beach and the remote Lameshur Bay are minutes away by jeep. Coral Bay, with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, is a 7 – 10 minute drive.
A gazebo area is just off to the side. The openness of the structure allows for cool sea breezes to flow through the house.
While relaxing in the gazebo, enjoy the views of the crystal blue waters and islands in the distance. A wide range of plant life thrives on the premises, from cactus to palm trees to seagrape trees!
You will be amazed at the clarity and the color of the water. You can actually see fish swimming in the waters when sitting in the gazebo!
Anytime, you can relax and have a lazy day in the gazebo. Stretch out and read a book on the very large oversized outdoor furniture.
Sunbathe during the day or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening shade on the large deck, just above the seagrape trees.
Yet another area to relax, the screened, enclosed living area is the perfect spot to watch a bit of TV or a favorite movie.
A charming kitchen is fully-equipped with full-sized appliances. Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the sunrise. When you prefer to go out, Miss Lucy’s Restaurant is a one-minute walk for evening dining , Sunday Jazz Brunch, or a casual lunch. Tourist Trap is a short drive, as are the shops and restaurants of Coral Bay.
At the end of your day relax in a bedroom to watch a movie or favorite TV show. Each bedroom has a cable TV with over 100 channels.
Artwork adorns the walls of the Green Bedroom -- interesting artistic touches can be found throughout -- where the owner’s artist sister is represented.
Each bedroom is unique. The furnishings and art work reflect the owners' travels throughout the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. An Asian carved screen is the headboard in the Blue Room
Linens, bedding, and bath towels are fresh and reflect the personal touches found throughout Pelican Beach. The bathroom includes a washer and dryer for your convenience.
The newly-remodeled and enlarged bathroom features a ceramic-tiled shower and ceramic-tiled floors.
