Formerly a popular bed & breakfast, we now invite you to enjoy the main floor as well.

We came to Sail View to get out of town in winter and to spend time with family and friends. Coral Bay is the place to be on St John. Cruz Bay not the same as it used to be. Our lasting memories: sky at night, view is great, morning coffee on deck. St John is Beach capital of da world! The activities we enjoyed most during our stay:
All beaches are great. Barbeque grill worked great, Salty Mongoose pizza bar, Rhumblines food, Love City Cafe with Doreen, “supermarkets” were a good surprise!

We came to Sail View to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. At Sail View we appreciated the Air -conditioned bedrooms, the landscaping, laundry room, the quietness, and the kitchen. We will remember most , driving on the left, all the beaches, clear skies, and turquoise blue water, Hansen, Francis, Cinnamon are favs., Meals at Rhumblines, Chris played at open mic at Miss Lucy’s, view from Windmill, chartered boat trip / snorkeling.

This is our sixth trip back to St John and tend to stay in Coral Bay…with that in mind. A jeep would definitely help getting into the drive way but we saw a Honda crv clear the driveway entry but it would definitely need an experienced driver to do it without damage. House had all the beach gear (coolers, chairs, pool noodles) and a very well stocked kitchen. We loved the metal prep counters, pots, pans, spices, condiments, ice packs and very productive ice maker. The great, the good and I wish…. LOCATION, LOCATION LOCATION – Sail View is perfectly situation if you like staying closer to Coral Bay to be close to Maho Beach, Hansen Beach, Skinny Legs, Rhumb Lines, Aqua Bistro and Dolphin Market. All these places are within a 10-15 minute drive from the house. VIEWS – While were didn’t have a close up view to the water the night times were really beautiful. Its dark enough to see a sky full of stars and the mountain was amazing with the lights from the houses dotting the mountain mirroring the sky. Our family spent plenty of time on the upper deck star gazing and enjoying the cold nights. Great Cross breeze – We didn’t use the air conditioner once. The cross breeze in all the bedrooms were great and we slept great. Landscape – The landscape on the property was impeccable. Flowers, big leafy trees and colorful plants made returning home magical Something to make thing more perfect in the I Wish would be: – Better sun shade on the second floor deck to enjoy the view during the day – Better lighting (but this is probably our gripe about every place we’ve stayed in St John). Everything always looks dim with lots of shadows in almost every property we’ve stayed in St John, perhaps to conserve electricity but it would definitely be nicer with more lighting Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at Sail View and will check out some of the other properties in the portfolio on future visits.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Sail View. The home is more than adequate in every way. Karen was very responsive to our needs and even went so far as to purchase a new coffee maker for us coffee snobs. We have been coming to St. John every year for seven years and have always stayed on the west side. It was a nice change to be on the east side and have quick access to some of the best snorkel and hiking spots on the island! -Randy Dec 2022
