  1. Kay, thanks very much for the excellent communication and all the help with our recent St. John rental with you at Sail View earlier this month.

Your greeter, Richard, did a very nice job. I was glad to have a vehicle of any kind arriving after 5 pm, although I couldn’t figure out what the “right way” of doing that for everyone else would be, since getting to Cruz Bay before 5 PM from the mainland is not the easiest of challenges. I especially liked that Richard took it easy on the drive back to Coral Bay. It took me a few days before the 20 mph speed limit seemed like a limitation! I thought he gave us a very reasonable but brief orientation when we got to the house. (We later decided that the drive down from the house would have made a great bobsled run, and that by week’s end, I might have been in med=
    al contention.)

The six pack cooler was a nice gift — nice touch. Very handy and we’ll have nice memories of St. John going forward!

We travel at least 4-5 times a year, and the week we spent at Sail View on St. John was incredibly relaxing and it was one of the best weeks we’ve spent away from home in the last few years.

Of course the bonus is that we picked the perfect winter to escape Chicago and spend time with you. But the house was a major part of our relaxation, and your services — readiness before we arrived, and the greeter service when we got there — was spot on.

  2. We came to Sailview to discover Paradise,so hard to leave. Keep Left,Drink Right. Beautiful house, amazing view,Loved the design. Very happy stay! I appreciated the peaceful nights and Loved listening to the frogs!

We enjoyed Salt Pond and snorkelling waterlemon Caye.

I will remember the time I spent with my lovely girlfriend and family and beautiful beaches.

  3. Now that I am beginning to recover somewhat from whatever nasty bug I contracted on the way down to beautiful St John’s I wanted to take a moment to tell you how nice the house and island and restaurants (save one) were.

Once we got over the drive up to the house-you probably should advise 4 wheel drive rentals only- the house was very comfortable, stunning views and although we really did not use the kitchen area except for breakfasts, it offered everything we desired.

I was told by the other family members that the snorkeling was superb, and that is coming from well travelled Caribbean savvy divers. Maybe next visit I can stay well enough to venture out into the sea.

As for dining, the restaurants were very, very good for both lunches and dinners( I actually made 4 of the 7 nights out for dinner-unfortunately one night was Sunday at Concordia where the ONLY menu item was pizza and it was terrible-actually the proper verbiage is a foul mouthed term that will go unmentioned).

Locals and visitors alike were very friendly and everyone had a very very nice time.

Hope to be able to get the family back there soon although we were informed that son’s wife is expecting #1child and that may put a crimp into international travel for a year or so for them but what a happy announcement we received nonetheless.

  4. Formerly a Bed & Breakfast, check out what past guests have to say about Sail View. And while we can’t compete with former owner Eilene’s banana bread, we do hope you will enjoy the opportunity to rent the entire house:

The place is very nicely located offering breathtaking views of the bay. This place is a hidden gem, a great base to discover the beauty of the island. Banana bread prepared by Eileen was delicious and hard to forget. Overall, the stay at Sailview was the highlight of our trip.
