  1. Our 2nd trip to S.J.- had a blast! We did Maho beach, snorkeled w/Steve from Reef to Peak, from Haulover Bay to a nice reef before Long Pt on the East End. We did the Reef Bay Trail hike w/ Ranger Justin & FONP volunteer Joe. Also spent a day at Salt Pond Bay & the next day hiked Rams Head. We drove on the Danish Rd to Annaberg ruins and hiked to Waterlemon Bay. Spent two and a half days reading, lounging and enjoying Villa Madeline. We frequented Skinny Legs and Oasis, attending Bingo & Trivia nights (at Oasis). On our last evening we took a cruise w/ Capt. Karl on the MAHIYA, his catamaran out of Coral Bay.

  2. First trip to the islands. Amazing!! Lots of sun and a little rain made for a great week. Tried snorkeling for the 1st time. Got to see fish, turtles, and a shark! (It was a baby one!) That was at Maho Bay. Good drinks across the street after snorkeling! Hiked up the Brown Bay Trail and made our way over to Waterlemon Bay. Probably the most amazing view from the whole week. Stood in the Annaberg Mansion ruins (I think) and it started to rain. The most beautiful rainbow of my life appeared right in front of us! Beautiful spot foe photos. Ended up, down the hill at Skinnys _ too much:) Sampled many cocktails and had a blast. Dinner at Skinny’s, Rhumblines and Miss Lucy’s – all excellent. I will miss my mornings on the deck, drinking coffee and watching the sun rise. Hope to see you again soon Villa Madeine.

  3. We love the animals on Saint John! The sounds of the donkey and rooster greeted us each morning. Don’t forget to put out a plate of sugar for the banana quits! Our favorite beaches are salt Pond and Maho. We saw turtles at both and delightful baby squid at salt Pond. Don’t miss the live music at skinny legs and Aqua Bistro. Miss Lucy’s is a great stop on the way back from salt Pond. We love coral Bay and Villa Madeline. It will become an annual adventure!

  4. We enjoyed being in Coral Bay. It was our first visit to St. John so all was new. Villa Madeline was a great choice for the three of us. Our son, Joe, was able to take morning runs from the Villa. His favorite was a loop that ended up in Brown Bay. He is from Alaska for the rough paths and steep hills in the sunshine was perfect for him. Collectively, we enjoyed Cinnamon Bay and Brown Bay for snorkeling and wild life. Our favorite restaurants was Miss Lucy’s (location, food, music and local scene). We also enjoyed Rhumb Lines for dinner and Skinny Legs for burgers. Pickles in Paradise for breakfast became a favorite too, We were able to walk there and enjoy the views and goings-on around the water.

Villa Madeline is a lovely 2 bedroom masonry home with abundant Caribbean charm, wonderful views, a pool and hot tub and luxurious appointments throughout.

Villa Madeline is a petite high-end villa, with elegant furnishings and thoughtful design, such as built-in desk space in each bedroom, a chef's kitchen and amenities such as internet access and a smart TV. It is a very comfortable and convenient villa, just perfect for one or two couples or a family of four. Villa Madeline is fully air conditioned.

The kitchen is located in the great room, to the left of the entryway, and opens into the comfortable living space. It is fully equipped with all that you need to prepare a wonderful meal, including elegant dinnerware.  There is a breakfast bar, to eat indoors or enjoy conversation while cooking.  We imagine you'll want to dine al fresco on the covered deck and enjoy the night air and the stars...

The two bedrooms are equally generous, with private baths, ceiling fans, air conditioning, and luxurious linens.

The stately bedrooms are elegantly furnished and extremely comfortable, with all of the luxuries of a fine hotel--and much more privacy.

Villa Madeline is ideally located, along a paved road and driveway, in a very quiet neighborhood, with the best of St. John's beaches and hiking trails a short drive away.  It is a very short drive down the hill to Skinny Legs, the famous burger and salty sailor landing that is the social center of Coral Bay.  This quiet a charming hamlet has much to recommend it, including many waterfront good and affordable restaurants, eclectic shops, friendly locals, and the peaceful charm reminiscent of the "way St. John used to be".
