What makes St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands so special? And, what would entice you to go to the smallest of the U.S. Virgin Islands on vacation? The reason so many people return to St. John is that there are so many things that make St. John stand out from the rest of the Caribbean islands. They include:

  • The crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounding the island
  • The more than three dozen hiking trails that cross the 5,500-acre National Park
  • The ability to snorkel from any beachfrontĀ
  • Being able to swim with sea turtles and stingrays above coral reefs that are teeming with brightly colored fish
  • White sandy beaches that are virtually crowd-freeĀ
  • Shopping at stores at your leisure – without the cruise ship crowds
  • The untouched and lush vegetation and palm trees because two-thirds of the island is a National Park
  • The beach bars
  • Not needing a passport to visit, the native language is English, and the currency is the U.S. dollar
  • The beautiful temperate weather, the local people, and the delicious food
